The Takeuchi TB260 is a completely new model weighing in at just over 12,500 lbs. (5,670 kg) and features a reinforced long arm with integrated thumb mount that provides a 12 ft. 9.4 in. (3.9 m) dig depth.

The TB260 is equipped with a high performance, turbocharged engine that delivers more than 47 hp smoothly and efficiently, while meeting U.S. EPA Tier IV Final emission requirements.

Automatic-idle helps reduce fuel consumption and engine noise levels, lowering operating costs and improving job site communication, and when combined with the ECO mode, fuel consumption can be reduced by as much as 21 percent in typical working conditions, according to the manufacturer.

The precision pilot joysticks deliver smooth, metered control for the operator; variable displacement pumps provide excellent cycle times and 12,756 lbs. of bucket breakout force.

Not only can the TB260 dig, it also is an attachment platform. Primary and secondary auxiliary hydraulics come standard, and are operated using independent fingertip proportional controls. An in-cab monitor can be used to select preconfigured work tools, or it may be customized for specific attachments. In addition, the continuous-run mode helps reduce operator fatigue when operating motor driven attachments.

For backfilling and cleanup work, the dozer blade is equipped with a blade float feature. An optional power angle blade that includes a replaceable bolt-on cutting edge also is available.

Not only will the operator be more productive with this machine, they also will be more comfortable in the spacious deluxe cab. The automotive-styled interior is equipped with a high-capacity HVAC system to keep the operator comfortable throughout the year. A large LCD color monitor panel provides a wealth of information to the operator, and it is easy to read in all lighting conditions. The high back suspension seat with multiple height adjustments allows the operator to easily find a comfortable operating position, and the large door enables the operator to easily enter and exit the machine.
