As part of its ongoing partnership with the AMSOIL World Championship Snowmobile Derby, CASE Construction Equipment is auctioning off a new SR175 Skid Steer Loader. All proceeds will benefit the United Way. The Skid Steer is autographed by Derby champions dating back to the very first event in 1964, won by Stan Hayes when he was 13 years old. The blind auction will begin at 12:00 noon CST on January 21 and end January 24, 2014 at 5 pm CST. Bidding will start at $15,000 via CASEce.com/sslauction.

Now in its 51st year, the Derby is held in Eagle River, Wis., and draws more than 40,000 spectators per year, making it one of the largest winter sports events in the Midwest. This year’s Derby took place January 16-19.

In addition to the SR175 for auction, CASE also supplied the event with a variety of skid steers, compact track loaders and wheel loaders to help build the snow course and keep it maintained throughout the three-day event.

The SR175 features a maintenance-free Tier 4 Final engine that puts out 21 percent more torque and 12 percent more horsepower (67) than its predecessor. It features industry leading breakout force coupled with CASE’s Power Stance wheelbase and 70/30 weight balance, making it more than capable of handling any number of digging, lifting, maneuvering and travelling tasks. The SR175 features a rated operating capacity of 1,750 pounds, and keeps operators comfortable with one of the widest skid steer cabs in the industry, sealed and pressurized for climate control and to keep out the elements.
