SmithCo Mfg. Inc., an industry leader in side dump trailer design and manufacturing, has reached an agreement with Vander Haag's Inc. to sell SmithCo's premium line of side dump trailers.

Vander Haag's, headquartered in Spencer, Iowa, will be an authorized SmithCo Dealer in parts of Iowa, Missouri, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.

"Vander Haag's continues to expand their service capabilities as well as their trailer sales," said Todd Karolczak, SmithCo's director of sales and marketing. "They have been buying used SmithCo trailers for a long time. We are looking for dealers that are positioned for significant growth in new side dump trailer sales along with SmithCo, and that makes Vander Haag's a nice fit for our dealer network."

"Vander Haag's is excited to partner with SmithCo," said Steve Bootsma, Vander Haag's whole unit department manager. "They share our commitment of quality and integrity that will best serve our customers."

Vander Haag's Inc. started in the automotive salvage industry in 1939. It grew the business by serving the trucking industry with an enormous parts inventory. Vander Haag's now has 50 service bays along with a full inventory of new and used trucks and trailers across 11 locations in eight states.
