For sale by the New Kensington Fire Department is a 1980 American LaFrance Century fire engine., This engine was originally ordered and delivered to the Fire Department of the City of New York in 1980., Its serial # is CE-7106., It carried F.D.N.Y. shop # 8002., It was the second pumper delivered in 1980 and served Engine Co. 61 in the Bronx., In entered service on January 14, 1981., It served at Engine 61 until May 8, 1989., it was purchased by PA Fire Apparatus and received a total refurbishment in 1992 and sold to the Biglerville Truck & Hose Co. No. 6 of Adams County, PA., The refurbishment included the following:, A rebulit American LaFrance 1,250 GPM twinflow pump with a Ross Relief Valve 1,000 gallon poly tank Frame was stretched and an extended front bumper was added with a 1.5" trashline added.
